The Debut Album:
On the cover Titiek Sandhora, with the many freckles, the gossip magazines sometimes were speculating it was a good or bad omen.
The angry looking doll must be the "Boncel" she's singing about. Many songs were about " I know someone who always uses to....... So the first song is about a little boy who mistreats cats and doing other mischief.

"Kisah Hidupku" ( The story of my life ) is a more serious one.
Jasir Sjam was also Remaco's talent scout, when the singer was discovered she was invited by Januar Hasanudin to do a studio recording. This resulted in her first album, from 20 januari 1969, recorded on the day she became 15 years of age.She received 40.000 rupiah payment for it.
The songs became successful , many LP records were released, I think in the period 1969-1972 about 23 LP albums.

The name Sandhora was given by her stepfather who served as a UN military in the Sinai Desert probably after a name of a local spot there.

The cover is nice designed qua photo and lettering.

If she was 21 years then, the record must be from 1972.
The first LP albums by this singer are very well known and
recorded by Remaco beginning 1966. This one from a later period is still very nice to listen at.

"Aku Sudah Dewasa" has an into tune that sounds like the beginning of a Beatles song. This is a kind of playfulness and better than slavishly copying a complete song. The audience liked such kind of gimmicks. Many good songs from his period had some elements from all kind of Indonesian regional music and were also from the Asian mainland and the west. All re-created in something complete new, many examples can be heard on other playlists from this blog. Mazef: ""this is the nr 1 favourite from this LP"
Apakah Merasa Malu=Why I Feel Ashamed, maybe from an existing song.
Sadis...ah=Sadist...ah. Done in Jakarta dialact. "Idiiii" is a typical girls cry when they hear someone tell a shocking gossip.
