It is a cassette maybe the contents were als released on LP records by Remaco.
I got in from someone as a present, while I was staying in Jakarta
I think it is from 1976, so it is from a later period than most of the other playlists on this blog.

.At that time the Band-groups were dominating, the solo singers, mostly female, had to do a step back in favour of all those boys groups wit their LP albums which came in large series and in many volumes.
Composers and bands which before only acted in the background came in the spotlight. so you can hear Is Haryanto singing ,who was before that already well known is musician and composer ( He died in 2009 )

Iin, after being a member of the girl's group Yanti Bersaudara, joined Bimbo's group, which was an exception, in those days it was a man's world.

Sadly enough the cover is missing, because those Remaco-covers were made of ordinary paper, which can tear easily.
The record is full with scratching sounds, I tried the water and soap treatment but it did not work out well, as the crackles are caused by damages on the record.
So as a last resort I used the ( trial ) software " DePopper " which cleared the sound, but traces of the scratches are still detectable.
A mixed variety of " Old School " singers from the mid sixties.

This record from my collection is missing its cover.
I saw it nota bene complete, with cover on Jalan Surabaya, last year.
but totally forgot to take a close up picture of it, to enhance this blog.
The sellers on Jalan Surabaya have no objection to anyone making a picture, as long you are showing intentions to buy something from them, or better, after buying some records from them.
It is the cover with on the front side Titiek Sandhora is depicted with a Croton plant, and on the backside with flowers.
On this record Titiek and Muchsin are singing duets together.
I think the records in which they are singing their own songs are better.

"Dunia Belum Kiamat" - It is not yet the end of the world - Being poor not having a fiancee and money, hope is not gone yet, the future can bring changes for the better.
"Asmara Di Nagoya" - Love in Nagoya- It really sounds like a song from Japan, but in fact the song is composed by Harry Santosa.
"Teman Sejawat" - Collegue -
"Ke Binaria" - To Binaria - . Binaria is a resort at sea on the northern end of Jakarta. Among its many attractions is the Indonesian version of Disneyland "Dunia Fantasi" a big swimming pool with those spiralling tubes, to drain yourself from above untill ejected in the pool, a pool with artificial sea-waves etc. Also to be found there a sea-world with dolphins, an art-market etc.
At the opening it was given its official name "Bina Ria" , but now everyone calls it "Ancol" the name this area had before, being in the old days swampy land by the sea.
"Ke Binaria" - To Binaria - The song: it start just like a happy campers song, also known in the west, forgot the original title, during the song its style suddenly changes into the Melayu way of singing.
"Perkenalan" - Making acquaintance -
"Kehidupan Remaja" - Life of the young, grown ups -
"Hati Cemburu" - Suspicious Mind -
"Tari Selendang" - Selendang dance - A selendang is a long piece of cloth, it is part of the womens traditional dress.
"Semalam Disisinya" - A night by his side -
"Ingin Berkenalan" - Like to know ( her )
"Bunga Melati" - Melati Flower - It is one of the best from this record, according to me.
"Jangan Sampai Berpisah" - Must not end in parting -

It immediately reminds us to Pattie Bersaudara, the two sisters who made many records, often in Moluccan style.
This duo, Saimima Bersaudara, has the same kind of close harmony singing.
But they are rather unknown, I think they made only this record and another one on the Lokananta Label.
Also the singer Joop Sahulata can be heard.
All songs on this record are in Moluccan style, except maybe "Akibat Kegagalan Cinta" in its own genre its a fine song.
The songs in Moluccan style can be divided in 2 categories: Old traditional ones like:
"Rasa Sayang Kane" "Ambon Manise" "Rasa Sayang E" "Potong Bebek"
"Rasa Sayang E" origin is under discussion, wheter its from Malaysia, The Moluccas or somewhere inbetween, but remember, long ago in the Malay speaking regions of Asia there were no national borders and all kind of seagoing vessels hopping from island to island, maybe it was a sailors song and very old so its precise origins are dificult to trace.
"Potong Bebek" sounds like a nice old fashioned dance.
The remaining songs are newer compositions, also the name R. Wairata is mentioned, maybe it is Rudy Wairata, who lived in Holland since 1951.
Other songs are composed by Is Haryanto, Harry Santosa, and Hamiedan, they were not typical Moluccan composers, but still found time to contribute for this recording, as they were very busy already making songs for other, more well-known singers.
Strange thing is this record has a Remaco and a Mutiara serial number, maybe it has something to do with export conditions, I bought this record in Nederland
There are to Bands, the Comets and Empat Nada, maybe the Comets did the part with the Hawaiian Guitars. Hawaiian Music was very Populair in Holland during the Forties and Fifties, later on the young people forgot, it became the music that Uncle and Auntie liked.
But it still can be nice so now and then, especially in those beautiful Moluccan setting: blue seas, white shores and waving palm-trees
