To describe the vastness of the Indonesian archipelago the term from "Sabang to Merauke" is often used.
Sabang is the most Norh and Western point and Merauke the most easterly.
On this cassette: songs about many interesting places in Indonesia.
It was released in 1991 "The Visit Indonesia Year".
Most songs are much older, many dating from the mid-sixties.
Oddly enough there is no song about Jakarta, the capital. Why didn't the use "Gado Gado Dari Jakarta" or: "Bandar Jakarta" or maybe another song about this city.
There is only a song about its harbour: Tanjung Priok.
The City of Makassar had to change its name to UJUNG PANDANG and is now renamed MAKASSAR again.
