The singer started her career in 1962, she belongs to the senior group of singers together with Titiek Puspa, Lilis Surjani, Alfian etc.
Her voice plaintive, like Connie Francis.
The band "The Steps" they mostly were on stage in Singapore, Malaysia and Hongkong and made recordings there, often Kroncong Instumentals, with electric guitars etc.
I think most songs not newly composed for this record, but already existing before.
"Panon Hideung" is originally from Russia, Ismael Marzuki wrote the Sundanese Lyrics.
Another well known composer of modern Sundanese Music is Kosaman Djaja.
"Bubuy Bulan" is by Benny Korda. He came to Bandung in the 20's with a group of Philippine musicians and played in a Jazz Band there.Bandung was a prosperous town and people began to appreciate this kind of music.
