An early Ernie Djohan recording, from approx. 1965.
The designer of the cover did some artwork by placing the head of the artist on someone else's torso.
It is the first one on the Remaco Label, before that are recordings made in Singapore and/or Malaysia, on those early recordings she developed a crooner voice,
I saw Ernie on Dutch TV, in Nederland, with "Only for a song" in a populair TV show hosted by Willem Duys.
she was visiting Europe back then, don't know of it was in 1968 or 1969.

"Daar Bij De Rivier": - At the river - Dutch ( by Anneke Grohnloh ) but has French origins: "Pres de ma riviere"
"Senja Berlagu": - A song at sunset -
"Terunaku": - My young hero - In content like like the independence war songs, she hopes her friend, defending the country will be save.
"Kudengar Suaramu": - I hear your voice -
"La Novia": -The wedding - From Italy.
"Hadiah Untukku": - A gift for me -
"Selamat Berjoang Kasih": - A good ( safe ) campaign, my love - Another song in which she hopes for a safe return for her beloved hero, who is on a military mission far away. ( Maybe these songs were from the time of "Konfrontasi" )

The songs she made a breakthrough are on two succeeding records also by Remaco industries.

On the frontcover from left to right and top to below:
Ernie Djohan, Bob Tutupoli, A. Riyanto, Tetty Kadi.
A "poor man's" edition maybe because there are only 11 songs on it, whilst
in fact a normal cassette could easily contain 24 songs.
The songs:
"Lupakan Masa Lalu" vocalized by A. Riyanto who mostly composed songs for others..
"Keagungan Tuhan": The solemn song the praises the greatness of the Almighty, on another playlists on this blog another version by Titiek Sandhora can be found.
"Why Do You Love Me" Bob Tutupoly adapts to a more international style of singing.
"Pacar" by Iin. Assume its from the mid 1970's. I have another cassette with the singer Bimbo and Iin.
"Mutiara Dari Selatan" just a nice song don't know more about the singer.
"Angin" by Ernie Djohan from a later period. A strange thing is she sings with a higher voice than on her first records, back then the crooner girl.
"Sayang" by Sam/Andre/Bartje Van Houten,
the same song can be heard from Wiwiek Abidin on another blogpost.
"Permata Hati" Tetty Kadi, not exciting, just a nice song,
"Rajah Bodoh" This funny song I have also on another cassette, maybe with a better sound quality.

The former ones were full with solid "hitsongs" . On this record from 1974: easy-listening music,

Syafiie Glimboh.
Riyanto had left band Empat nada to form a new band: the Favourites.
The songwriters of this record are members of Koes Plus Group.
The other composer for this record is Hamiedan.
"Buat Apa Susah" - Why worry -
"Ratapan Anak Tiri" - A stepchild's lament - The situation being a child you get a stepmother who does not take care of you. Really saddening as you can hear. This song was not composed for this record, but well known long before already. ( By A. Rafiq )
