The artist well known for her duets with Benyamin Sueb, also famous as a film actress.
On few recordings she sings solo, mostly the earlier ones. She has a high almost transparent voice.
A few songs to be reviewed here:
"Siapa itu" - Who is that - A voice from somewhere is calling "Ida" someone is playing hide and seek.
"Jangan Bimbang Ragu" - Be not worried and upset - sounds almost similar with "Nobody's child"
"Malam Terakhir" - The last night - Is the title song of this record.
"Jangan Tinggalkan Daku" - Don't leave me - It sonds almost like a "mandarin" song.
"Khayalanku" - My vision - Religious in content. A vision of the end of the world, when all mankind will face their creator.
"O Lord be merciful and show me the holy and eternal way" Interesting musical setting, almost surrealistic.
Befor the spelling change of 1972 she was known is Ida Rojani, The same as A. Rijanto became A. Riyanto etc.
Not all people followed this rule. The trouble was also a change in doing a signature which could bring problems.
