That was all. A few years later came Google and all changed.
When it just started the search hits were scarce. I was very content already to download a few MIDI ( 2 ) music files of the singer Tetty Kadi, among it the song " Bunga Mawar " . Youtube did not exist at that time.
You folks still remember " Limewire " ? ( 3 ) I downloaded a few songs by Hetty Koes Endang, not her best work, but o.k. I felt fine already.

a website from Japan It was on the web since 2004 or even before. I was happy to find it, and so I found out that a was not the only guy in the world collecting this music.
After 2005 suddenly an enormous amount of songs on Google and on Youtube its members were uploading music.
I discovered multiply.com. On this blogsite it was just easy to upload or download music, later it was more restricted, but there were workarounds to avoid these obstructions. The owners feared copyright violations.
From 2007 on I uploaded more than 180 playlists and also wrote articles about it, Multiply was a very fine, unique blogging site, unfortunately the owners terminated it in 2013. I am still moving all my stuff to this blog. Multiply had a unique " feel " it was easier to come in contact with other users and share all interisting info and remarks. Often I used the Indonesian language, which i also master.
On this blog I use the English language, so people all over the world can read my texts.
When Google just existed a Dutch computer magazine was boasting: ilse.nl ( 4 ): is the best search engine. I did I few tests by inserting names of rather obscure persons and Indonesian singers and instantly got a few hits on Google and nothing on Ilse. Sometimes the best option is to try things out by yourself. The same applied for Internet Explorer " the best internet browser " I did a few tests and found out that Firefox was better.
Searching with Google between 2005 and 2010 resulted in few but valuable hits, when searching for Indonesian music and artists.
After 2010 there were many sites in the search results who want you to buy mp3 music files. Nowadays the search results are often referring to Youtube.
