Pattie Bersaudara - Mutiara MLL108

MUTIARA MLL 108
PATTIE BERSAUDARA
"Nusa Ina"
Band: Empat Nada
Conductors Jadin / A. Riyanto
Year of release: 1972
Genre Various + Maluku
"Jangan Tinggi Hati" - Don't be arrogant. - It has an energetic sound like many other songs from the Muluccas. It is not originating from that region, but created in this style, so to say it was tailor made for this duo.
"Bila Wanita Berkata" - When a woman speaks -. ( Just listen! and nod your head understandingly ).
"Jujaro dan Mangare" - Boys and Girls -. Nice in the both elegant and powerful style of Muluccan songs.
"Dua Bersaudara" - Two sisters -. They sing about themselves, we are two singing sisters.
"Dari Jauh Melihat Tanjung" - Seeing the land ( a cape in this case ) from a distance.
Many songs from the Mollucas are about far Islands near the horizon, seen from a boat."I think of you" they sing.
"Mama Tinggal Beta" - Mother left me -.
"Pesta Meriah" - Wild party - It is an imported song originally "The hippy shake"
"Nusa Ina" Fully: Nusa Ina, Ambon, Lease. Nusa Ina means "Mother Island" the poetical name for the Island of Ceram where as believed, the south Muloccans originated from.
"Lease" are the Lease Islands, Haruku Saparua and Nusa Laut the smallest of the archipalago.
Ambon is bigger. The biggest Island is Ceram, also the most rugged.
"Aku Berpikir Dulu" I think ( consider ) first. In this case when receiving a letter from a male friend not quite sure about his intentions and character.
"Aku Muak Padamu" - I am disgusted with you - "Muak" originates from a vomiting sound ? just a theory. The melody of the song is from .......( I know the song but can't remember the title, was it from the Stones or The Beatles, must be from approx 1969 )
"Hela Rotane" Those old folksongs have no direct meaning, just a matter of feeling and atmosphere.
The last song "Surat Kekasih" - A letter from the loved one - is not on this playlist because it is on the and of the cassette reel and cut of too short by the factory. The cassette is copied from the original record, by Remaco factories. I made a photo from the record cover at Jalan Surabaya - Jakarta. Alas the record inside was another one, so I revoked from buying it.
But with the sound from the cassette and the photo of the cover I could re-create the original record.
